When doing an Image backup with Windows 2000 (Service Pack 2 installed) the restored Image fails to boot.

The problem seems to be with the additional security added by the new Service Pack. The are two solutions for this issue. 1. Remove Service Pack 2 from Windows 2000. If you do not wish to remove SP2 from your system you can do the following: 2. Make sure the drive/partition that you restore the Image to is exactly the same size as the original drive/partition. This will get around the added security of the new Service Pack.
