All-in-One Drive Burns CDs, DVDs with Broad Range of NTI Recording and Backup Solutions

HANNOVER, Germany; March 12, 2003 ? NewTech Infosystems, Inc. (NTI) and Panasonic Industrial Company announced today that NTI has added support for Panasonic's all-in-one DVD MULTI OEM drive, Model SW-9571-CYY. In addition to Backup NOW!? 3.0 Deluxe, NTI DriveBackup!?, DragonBurn? and FileCD? users can now use a single DVD MULTI drive to store data, video, audio, image, and multimedia files on CDs and DVDs.

With the ability to read/write all recordable DVD formats approved by the DVD Forum (DVD-RAM/R/RW) as well as CD-R/RW discs, the DVD MULTI drive is a cost-effective storage solution that enables NTI users to switch between CDs and DVDs without having to purchase new hardware or software.

Panasonic?s next-generation DVD MULTI drive writes to 4.7GB rewriteable DVD-RAM discs and write-once DVD-R discs? at 6x speed, which is equivalent to at the 55x CD rate. Offering 100,000 rewrites, DVD-RAM is the most cost-effective format for backups and other applications where files will be altered or erased. Ideal for archiving and sharing, the write-once DVD-R General media can be played back by most of the DVD video players and DVD-ROM drives in use throughout the world today. Smaller files can be stored on low-cost 700MB CD-Rs at up to 32x speed or on CD-RW discs at up to 24x speed.
